Your favorite delphiniums and why?

| I'm looking for a few delphiniums to plant. I've previously used and loved 'Butterfly blue'. I'm looking for something with the deep blue color at around 3'to 4' tall. Do you know of a variety which is more hardy and sturdy? Thanks! |

| Hi, If I were trying to grow Delphiniums, I would look for the 'Millenium' or 'Dodswell' varieties. They are from New Zealand I think and have been specially bred to be sturdier and more resistant to mildew. They have lots of different colors including the dark blue and rose and white shades. Double and single blooms I think. Taller than 4 ft I believe. |

| Delphium elatum Foerster's hybrids. They have a long lifespan and many of them don't need staking. New Zealand delphiniums were flopping for me, the flowers were too big and heavy. |

| wieslaw, any chance you know a good online store where I could find good seeds and a decent quantity of seeds? I always think that 20 seeds isn't that much or is it? |

| the magic fountains mix are not as tall, but very sturdy and rebloom in the fall. Mine don't need staking, as long as they are kept out of the prime windy area. come in blue, purple, and pink. love em! |

| 9 out of 10 of my Magic Fountains died after 2 years. The rest died at the age of 3. So no more Magic Fountains for me.It clearly shows that they were developed out of Pacific Giants. |
