Should I move geum 'Totally Tangerine'?

So I planted this at the front of a raised bed, and it is way too tall for the front, and is also flopping over. I know I could just stake it, but I would really like to move it a few feet to the back, and plant a gorgeous agastache in its place now, so the latter can get established for the winter.

I know now is not the best time. But OTOH, we have been having a crappy cool spring (am near Vancouver, BC), with more rain and cloud than sun in the forecast. If I cut back a lot of the foliage and the flower stems, would it still sulk, or could it survive the move? Or should I just wait until fall? Has anyone any experience with moving them now?

Many many thanks in advance for your thoughts!
