Pls Help identify the clusters of blue-purple flowers

Can anybody identify what is the blue-purple flower in the picture? I think it is a perennial and I am in zone 5b. Thx.

Maybe a penstemon. A closer photo of the bloom and foliage would be helpful.

I googled penstemon pictures and I believe u r right. This one should be Rock mountain penstemon. Thx for your quick response. I will buy some seeds next spring.

You may want to buy the seeds in winter :) If that is Penstemon strictus the seeds could require 3 months moist cold (40F) to break dormancy before germinating.
