Does ForestFarm ever have a sale?

With all the sale posts going around, I just thought I'd ask...

I ordered from ForestFarm for the first time this spring, and I was very pleased. They included a catalog with my order, so of course now there are about a dozen things I've decided I can't live without. :)

I was wondering if they ever have a spring/summer sale. If not, I guess I'll wait till later in the fall to place another order.

Thanks!

I've never heard of them having a sale. You can email them and ask. As far as I remember, I had a prompt response to my email messages. It was 3 years ago though. Great company, I bought lots of plants from them.

Thanks Alina. I've never heard of them having one either, and I did a search here to see if I could find any threads about that, which I didn't. I didn't even think about emailing and asking. :) Think I'll just do that.

If they do, I'd love to know!

I emailed, and they did respond very quickly. The answer is no, they do not have sales.

That is what I thought... Still, for some projects it is a great place to order. Even with their high shipping cost to the East coast...

I'm not surprised at the "no sales" thing. I'm guessing this year's tubes turn into next year's gallons and so on. I got a nice order from them this year.

Well I don't mind if they do not have "sales" as I think a garden based on what ever was on sale, is not the best way to go. Al

Well, that's true Al, but if you were going to buy it anyway and it happens to be on sale, that IS the way to go! :)

The guy said they ship year-round, so there is never a need to clear out their greenhouses. This year's tubes=next year's gallons is probably right. :)

I was impressed with the size and vigor of their plants in tubes. I only got two things to try them out - Mutabilis Rose and Spider's Web Fatsia. Both are doing extremely well! I have my eye on a few conifers I know I'll never find around here, or anywhere that *does* have a sale. So I'll get those in the fall. Would have been nice to pay sale price - it was worth asking! :)
