I grow both P. laciniata (lacey leafed foliage with violet flowers) and P. grandiflora 'Freelander Blue'.

They are very easy plants to grow, maybe even fool-proof. I've got mine in full sun/prt sun and they do fine. Dry-ish conditions are okay with it too. Low, mat-forming perennial. They don't spread overly fast for me either- though they do seem to reseed enthusiastically after a few years established. That is probably my only complaint with them, the seeding. Other than that it is a nice little plant for front of the border.

The tag says sun to part shade, tolerates hot and dry conditions. I donâÂÂt really have a hot and dry place to put it

if i read that tag.. i would default to any full sun ...

but if the only spot left was soggy.. this plant will TOLERATE IT ..

These are not "easy plants" if your soil and water are alkaline. Just saying.
