I see others posting upside down pics as well. Whats going on? My pics are fine on my computer but appear upside down on this forum?

if they use their phone upright.. the pics come out upright ...

when they turn their device sideways.. it somehow defeats the GW pic viewer... and they turn sideways ... somehow GW reads the the device was turned sideways.. and that is the way the pic comes out ..

Ken is correct. I have an iPad and I can take pictures in any direction I want for viewing on my own screen. But, if I want them to appear with the correct orientation here, then I have to make sure I take photos with the iPad turned in the traditional direction.

Thanks for the thread. It's frustrating when people insist their pic isn't upside-down. I've been disparaged for trying to help & uploading an upright version of their pic.

So, when people look at GW with phone or tablet, the pics are upright for them? No wonder they think the others r crazy. Gotta love technology, upside-down is better than not at all!

So on an iPhone we need to take the picture with the phone up -- not turn it sideways? Of course, I prefer taking pictures sideways.

Is this picture showing correctly?

Yes, Troves, that photo looks fine.

The photo looks sideways for me.

So now I know the reason for all of the upside down and sideways photos I've been seeing lately.

Well, I guess this proves the iPhone advertisement that many, many photos today are taken with phones rather than cameras!

In any case --- sideways for me too, but if I click on the photo, a new screen comes up showing it in correct position.

It looks sideways in the post to me as well. In my case, when I click on the photo, in the new screen that comes up, it still shows sideways...

I am running Windows7 on a laptop...

I have seen some that look fine in a post one day and then upside down or sideways the next. I think it must be a GW glitch.

Hmmmmm--- Deb, I have a Mac. Maybe that's why Trove's pic is upright when I click on it? Or maybe it is a GW glitch.

Sideways to me, sideways when I click it. Using a desktop computer. Can't imagine trying to read tiny writing and look at pics on any smaller screen.

It'd sure be nice if there was an easy/universal fix. This same problem is present on other GW forums with different posters...
*sigh*

Is there such a thing as a forum moderator? If not, will someone from the NSA monitoring this thread please let GW know about this problem. Thanks.

I'm on a Macbook and it is sideways/sideways for me.
