Snapdragon growth speed

A few days ago I had bought a small bag of Russell Lupine seeds but after getting home and reading up on it, I found out it is not dog safe. I have started around 10 seeds but will keep them for the front garden.

As for the back garden I was thinking of Snapdragon, the tall variety. If I starting them as seed now will I see blooms in late summer or fall? Also how fast would they get to 3-4 feet?

RE: Snapdragon growth speed

I tried wintersowing bronze Chantilly snapdragons this past winter... had a little mishap but I have one growing. It was started a little later than should have but never the less.... It still might be early enough but this is my first time with taller snapdragons so I'm not certain. Might want to try the annual forum
