Perfect for the heat

Becky is SUCH a weed! But here she is, in sweltering heat, holding up just as well as the lavender.

Definitely my recommendation for hot, full sun beds - she keeps standing tall while all rudbeckia around her curl up and suffer!
If you haven't tried this Shasta, you're missing out. Tall, no flopping, prolific for many weeks. Doesn't reseed much but spreads like crazy by expanding roots. Fortunately they are very shallow so I just toss out the chunks I can't give away in the spring. Doesn't like wet feet in the winter!

Now that's what I want to see in my garden!! Fabulous!! Do you harvest seeds by any chance? I've got tons of Dianthus barbatus 'Sooty' seeds to trade.
