| I'm seriously considering planting this buddleia. This is the first buddleia I've seen with yellow flowers, but I guess this is to be expected as "honeycomb" is actually a different species of buddleia (buddleia weyeriana). Another thing I learned about this buddleia is that many nurseries based in England call this plant "sungold" buddleia.
Unfortunately, only so much can be learned from reading articles online. I'll leave it up to the gardeners (AKA you guys (and gals)) to tell me how to care for this plant. |

| I don't grow it but there have been a few questions on GW about it. Just a couple of points. I believe that 'Sungold' and 'Honeycomb' are 2 different cultivars. And Buddleja x weyeriana isn't a species, it's a cross between B davidii and B globosa (which has spherical clusters of orange flowers). So there may more versions in future. |

| I do have 'Honeycomb' (4 of them...2 newly planted this year and 2 that are 5 years old). I treat them like all my other buddleia except I do not cut them back as hard because they don't get as woody as quickly. I have one that I have allowed to get at least 8 feet high and wide because it retains its shape so well. Also, the blooms, though shorter, last longer. The butterflies and other pollinators do love it, too. Cameron |

| I am also in zone 5 - I had one of these plants for two years. The third year it didn't return in the spring. I have several other types of buddleia and they seem to do fine. Jacquie |

| I had one for 4 or 5 years, just didn't come back this year. It was beautiful while it lasted! |

| I had one for a good long period, but inexplicably, it died last winter. I liked it because it bloomed quite early and then put on another show in the late fall. Neither show was overwhelming, and it was never as floriferous as other cultivars, but I liked it a lot. The scent was wonderful and the flower colour unusual. To be fair, it was also planted in an overcrowded bed, and might have produced a better flower show with the room it deserved. I think I planted it about six years ago, or even longer, when it was first released. |
