| Hi,
Yesterday, our quest for lavender for our terrace ended with 3 different lavender varieties. We purchased these "lavender called" plants but we need your help to identify them.
I uploaded a photo of them with numbers and I appreciate if you can name them. Thanks :) |

| hi meyerlemon there are abought 39 types of lavenders.. im not an expert but we grow a bught 50 types of herbs and abought 6 types of them are lavenders. so my guess is pic # 3 looks like goodwin creek because half of the leaves pic # 2 looks like grosso? pic # 1 looks like Spanish or french Lavender. i cant realy see the leaves from the pic ? are the leaves rigid or smooth ? is it real woody? hope this helps... |

| Thank you very much boston3381, you sent a very detailed, helpful reply, more than I expected. I checked other photos of each variety and I think you are right about them. The variety in the first picture has very rigid leaves and yes, it is woody.It also has a yellow/green color instead of pale gray/green color. It is the one with the strongest smell. I hope these additional information helps. Thank you :) |

| that first pic then might be a over-wintered french lavender. if you take it out of the pot is it root bound and are the roots hard as a rock?? allmost like wood?? |
