Perennials to pair with Annabelle?

Lalala (zone 6b)

I have an Annabelle hydrangea with two large blue hostas in front of it. After cutting down a tree a few years ago, that section of the garden has gotten sunnier, and the hostas regularly get sunburned, so I've decided I need to move them. I'm looking for ideas to replace them. The hostas are maybe 3 feet across; the Annabelle will certainly spread out to fill up some of the room, since the hostas currently hold the hydrangea back a bit, but I'll still have a good amount of room there. What do you like to pair with Annabelle that enjoys part sun?

I'd probably prefer something a little more structured rather than rangy like geranium rozanne. The rest of that bed is a bit shadier; I have other hostas, astilbe, heuchera; holly and rhodedendron in back, and a dogwood tree.

Thanks!
