I thought for sure that my Hibiscus 'Plum Crazy' was dead as doornails. It showed no signs of life at all this spring, even though my Hibiscus 'Summer Storm' planted at the same time last year was up and growing vigorously at least 6-7 weeks ago. But a couple of days ago, what do I see? A tiny single shoot about 6 inches tall growing up from the base of the dead stump of 'Plum Crazy'. I know hibiscus can be late risers, but come on! :-)

I hope it flourishes this year. Good thing you didn't give up on it. :)

My 'Plum Crazy' is barely a few stems this year too, but my 'Kopper KIng' is just as great as last year and has a lot of buds on it.
