| Here is a picture of one of my delphiniums grown in zone 3, over 20 years old. Not a great shot, as I didn't stake them this year and most are laying on the ground after the torrential rain a few nights ago. But the tall spire is over 7 feet tall, and that is normal every year. |

| For the second time today, I've looked out the window you can see behind the delphinium in the picture, and there's a hummingbird on the delphinium. There are other flowers in the yard that should attract hummingbirds, but I only see them in my yard on the delphiniums. |
