I'm two weeks behind. Coming along nicely, lots of buds. Almost made it with the 'Petite Delight'.

I am surprised that it didnt survive for you 'debbie' as it easily came through this past somewhat problematic winter and spring in my zone 4.

Oddly enough, mine is barely alive as well. I know it had nothing to do with the winter as we had an exceptionally mild one and I grow all manner of semi-hardy stuff right next to it, all of which is doing fine. I think it just got mangled by either snails or bunnies earlier this season and is now just trying to play catch-up. And not very successfully :-(

I like how compact it is. The flowers appear smaller than Goldsturm too, but there sure are a lot of them.

I seem to be one of those few people who has absolutely no problems with Goldsturm however. It still remains one of my most dependable, end of summer bloomers. Funny how that works.

I was at a university today and I thought of you Kevin when I saw this stand of "Goldsturm". A mass planting of G is impressive.
