Has anyone grown this beauty. After some research I bought several plants. The almost black stems, dark centers, and deep magenta flowers are quite eyecatching. Very different looking from pow wow berry.

Had to go take some pictures for you.

I have grown it, the most intense colour among the 'purple' ones. Unfortunately none of the several plants seemed/seems to be vigorous for some unknown reason(at least 3 died without an obvious reason)

It's a weak, sickly thing and wouldn't grow here. The reason people like 'Pow Wow Wild Berry' better is it's easily grown from seeds and has many blooms of a nice intense magenta color. 'Fatal Attraction' can't tolerate the hot summers here. I have 'Merlot' which also has the dark stems. It has grown well for me, but you can't beat the 'Pow Wow' plants. They just bloom better!

Oh no...should have checked here first!

You are north of here. It might do better there. It just wouldn't grow in this zone.

I love Fatal Attraction and it grows great in my Michigan, zone 5 garden. I've had it for about 4-5 years. This year I had to move it to a new spot because of some garden renovations. I divided the plants and shared them with my sister. The replanted divisions are doing fine and I make sure I water them everyday in this crazy hot weather. Nancy VB

I just picked up a plant of "Fatal Attraction" (looked too cool in the nursery to pass up), now I just have to find a place to put it. After that, there are about 25 seedlings of " Echinacea "Prairie Splendor" to locate a spot for.
