Does this daylilly rebloom as vigorously as it does the first time around? I just planted this variety in both the pink and the yellow and wondering just how much it will flower second time around.

Happy Returns does rebloom but it isn't a many scapes on the rebloom, for me anyway, but any rebloom for me is good.

I don't grow Rosy Returns so I can't say.

For me Rosy Returns is a vigorous grower, rebloom is somewhat lighter than first flush of bloom but still for growing up here in the Northland, better than many others. Color seems to vary somewhat with weather.

My Happy Returns have matured and are just blooming their little hearts out right now, much more than previous years. They were the first daylily to bloom. I'm impressed because they are growing right next to the sidewalk in a hot dry spot and have hardly been watered. I will be curious to see how much they rebloom this year.

I have three clumps of the yellow Happy Returns and they have never bloomed well for me tho they are in almost full sun and other daylilies there do very well.

But you all are having success and I see them in commercial plantings doing beautifully. Terrene, maybe you have the secret--hot, sunny, open space. Mine are in the front of a full perennial border, packed in.

I was so excited to find this cultivar because I couldn't stand the color of Stella d'Oro but it has been a disappointment. They must not like where they are in my garden as I seem to be alone in having problems with them.

I find that Happy and Stella for that matter require division almost every year to bloom well. My Happy is not in full sun, gets afternoon shade but is covered with blooms.

I have Happy Returns and Stella. I cut my plants down to 4 inches after the first bloom, and I fertilize them. They are all reblooming right now quite well. Works for me, and I read on the internet--to cut them down and fertilize and this would encourage them to rebloom, and it has worked well for me for the past several years. I would go outside and take a picture--but it is in the 90's here and just way too hot!!
