| This is my second year for my prairie sun rudbeckias and they have been just beautiful but I don't know if it is caused by hot weather(90-100)but the foliage near the bottom of the plant seem to turn silver./like a moldy color. Do you think this is all related to weather conditions? I guess they could use some miracle grow solution too. Have been neglectvul this summer doing that every two weeks as I have done in the past, for various reasons..It's 8:15 pm and you can hardly breathe out there, it's like walking into a sauna. |

| Wish I could help you as I love my prairie sun rudbeckia. Maybe if you could put a picture of the leaves it would make for easier identification. Good luck with them they are truly stunning. SCG |

| Sounds like powdery mildew or downy mildew. I have been trying milk and baking soda to control powdery mildew on a few of my plants. Hard to tell if it is working though. GL! From UCONN IPM site: Downy Mildew
