| I know there's a forum for groundcovers, but it seemed a little slow over there, so I posted here instead. Hope nobody minds. I just bought Sea Campion "Druett's Variegated" this spring knowing nothing about it. I have to say I am loving it! It has tripled its size in just under 3 months without being invasive and it's a nice, bright spot in my garden. The leaves feel kind of spongy, like a sedum. A lot of people seem to notice it and ask, "Oooh, what's that?" I don't have many ground covers or short little perennials. Do any of you have a ground cover or tiny perennial that you just love? Recommendations for both shady and sunny spots would be welcome. Pictures would be great, too. |

| I just noticed I spelled the name wrong in the post title. It should be Sea Campion....not Sea Capion. |

| Campanula cochlearifolia 'Elizabeth Oliver', Thalictrum kiusianum , Astilbe Chinensis Pumila all came with me to my new gardens, but all are still in pots - grounds aren't ready to plant yet. Watch for any solid green growth next year with your Druetts Variegated, and make sure you remove it. I don't know if it was my plant or a trait in general but mine did want to revert after a few short years. |

| Thanks for the tip on reversion. It wouldn't be quite as special if it was all green. Sometimes I have to do that with my hostas that want to revert also. I checked out the suggestions you made. I especially like the Elizabeth Oliver campanula. It's adorable! |

| This is a great plant, got it this year and it has been doing well. Makes quite an impact for such a small plant. |
|
| Thalictrum kiusianum. Much better seen close up.

| Miclino, I see you're enjoying "Druett's Variegated" as well. It really is a stunning little plant. I planted five 2 1/2" pots and now have about 2 feet of coverage. They just need to fill in a little more and it'll be a solid wall. I like that Thalictrum. The flower is adorable. I have so many large perennials, sometimes I forget to enjoy the tiny ones. |
