Heliopsis 'summer green'

Does anyone grow this one? I cracked last weekend and bought 'summer sun' but came across 'summer green' via Google when looking up the first one. I've been avoiding heliopsis in general because of problems with red aphids, but the darker stems and red in the flowers.... I couldn't resist summer nights..... I'm sure if I came across summer green it would be the same story.
Oh and prairie sunset would have also come home with me if I came across THAT one! I find it hard to resist plants this time of year, things are caught up in the garden and I start thinking.....

Just been looking at online photos of 'Summer Green' and I like the contrast between the foliage, stems and flowers.

That's what I was thinking! The dark stems seem real nice, but the leaves might be too much? I never grew Loraine sunshine so haven't seen anything similar to compare to in the garden.

Kato_b ... I love my 'Loraine Sunshine' and have selected a few seedlings that are a bit superior to the original plant I had purchased. Judging from the photo, I think that 'Summer Green' looks rather awesome to me and would buy it in a snap!

The below photo is from the Guido Van de Steen website

If I can't find this one I'll have to finally give Lorraine a try.... But I love the dark stems and dark bloom centers on 'summer green'!
I've been avoiding heliopsis because of those annoying red aphids they get, but I might make another effort seeing these.

Is 'Summer Green' a brand new cultivar? Is so, by next spring it might be more available.

I grow 'Summer Sun' and it's a great performer. My only real complaint is it does seed around a bit so come spring, I have seedlings to remove but that's not that big a tragedy.

a2zmom ... yes, I believe that 'Summer Green' is brand new to the market. I agree about the seeding of these plants, I have liberal numbers of them that have self sown around the place.
