Soapwort ?

I bought a rock garden soapwort plant (Saponaria ocymoides) a year ago this past spring. It was on impulse, I donâÂÂt recall why, as with no flowers it is just plain green with ordinary leaves. I planted it to grow over some stone edging in a rock garden. Then when it bloomed this year I loved it: masses of soft pink single flowers. I was visiting the same distant nursery right after and bought 4 more.

But then I thought IâÂÂd better check before planting them. The bloom period was shorter than I hoped, unless deadheading would have helped (which I didnâÂÂt do). When itâÂÂs not blooming it does not have much to offer: mat-forming, fairly non-descript.

Now upon close examination I see seed pods forming on the one I planted last year. Are they heavy seeders? Too aggressive? If so, IâÂÂll keep them out of my main bed.
