Garden photos are in my mailbox, having been sent (5 at a time because it is a lame phone) from my phone. Opened attachment, downloaded, viewed and all the "portrait" ones are on their side. The rotate button is grayed out. I am missing something....what do I do? Thanks! So, should I be sending these directly to photobucket, because that's the way I can post more than one at a time to GW? Can you fiddle with details like labeling and rotating from photobucket?

I acted like an adult and researched the problem myself.Tell me if this is correct:I have to have to the camera in landscape mode regardless of whether the pix I'm taking is landscape or portrait. Wait that doesn't make sense because that's exactly what is happening to the photos.... So I should look for an 'autorotate' function. My phone is an android. The reason I asked you guys first is so I wouldn't have to wade through the internet....lazy person that I am.....

if it were me... i would go find the camera.. and use my phone.. for.. get this.. phone calls... lol ... your self effacing comments entertained me ... thx ken see if this will help .. i dont do this technology.. so i am winging it.. but find out what the default is on your phone.. landscape or portrait.. and insure that you take the pix.. in that orientation ... if you are presuming its one way.. and its the other... that MIGHT be your base problem .... e.g. if your phone is in portrait.. but you keep turning your phone into landscape... like most of us do for the garden.. then you are the one rotating it.. but the phone is 'marking it' as portrait.. so when its posted.. its turned...

Yes, you can rotate photos in Photobucket. It's slow, like the rest of Photobucket, but it does work. While it is possible that photos that look right on your computer might show up sideways here, if it looks right on Photobucket, it will look right here.

If you have an iPhone, rotate the image on your phone. Crop it slightly. It will always show up on here correctly if you do this. I can't speak for the other phones, but the iPhone will work with no trouble at all. Your phone should let you rotate the images after you take them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using your phone to take photos. Some of them have really great cameras in them and they are so convenient without having to haul a second device around all the time.
