I live ~2 miles from a cider mill - but I'm kind of embarrassed to go in there asking to buy bushel baskets. Is there any place I can order from on-line?

Hopefully the crew will be here tomorrow, that's the plan, but of course it's possible there will be another delay due to other job they're finishing up. It would be great if they would get started tomorrow, finally ---> tons (as in ~20 tons) of stone on my driveway, huge dumpster, what an eyesore - but worth putting up with for the short term, it will look great when it's done!

MXK, I just did a quick google search on bushel baskets and got a good amount of what looked to be hopeful hits. Have you tried just doing that yet? Perhaps you can narrow the search by adding in your hometown in the search criteria.

I don't know that I would ask at the cider mill. I would think they need their bushel baskets and are not in the business of selling them, lol. Unless condition doesn't matter for you and they may be willing to give you some old ones...?

Good luck!
Dee

Do you have a feed & grain or agri supply nearby? That's where I found them - since they supply orchards, farmers markets, etc.

If you take a reasonable amount of care with them, they last for years - no wet weeds, no leaving out in the rain...

I've seen smallish versions of them at craft stores like Michael's. Maybe 1/2 bushel size or so. Perhaps smaller, I can't exactly remember.

We bought a half dozen baskets on line some years back. I can't locate the receipt, so not sure where we purchased them, but here are a few places that sell them:
