Peachie's Pick looks so wonderful in bloom

I remember asking about this plant last year (or maybe the year before). I don't recall now what was said but in any event I never did buy one. Today I was at the nursery and they had a large display of this plant...it was gorgeous. Take a look:

I don't think I hear much about this aster on GW. For those of you with this plant in their garden (or had> this plant) can you tell me more about its pros and cons?

I grow 'Klaus Jelitto'. Very low maintenece - this was planted in 2009 and I'm finally going to divide it this year for the first time.. Blooms for 3-4 weeks. One thing I should point out is I don't get any rebloom.

Here it is on July 15 of this year:

Great pics guys.

I grew KJ a couple years ago. It started declining rapidly and never recovered even after moving it to a better location (one that didn't get as much water). Never did replace it. Loved the flowers, but the overall plant was rather floppy for me.

I must say Doug, your plants look very nice and compact and not leggy at all. Yes?? May have to give Stokesia another go someday...

Thanks for that picture a2zmom. I had not heard of "KJ".

These many "Peachie's" were upright. (Now I think I recall that these asters are often floppy?)
