Well, it's definitely not hardy to -30. Sorry, but your google source is probably more accurate.

I was able, just once, to overwinter plumbago in my attached garage... in a bubble-wrapped container that was tucked into a leaf-filled bag. The leaf bag was then pushed into the warmest corner of the garage. Even with all that, the next year's growth was pretty spindly, and I now treat it as an expensive annual.

is that the new zone hardiness table? I remember, zone 5a was previously -20F to -30F. But am glad that mine is -20F to -15F only. :D

Never had any trouble with Plumbago at my place - its a beautiful groundcover and if it's happy, you will probably never have to buy another one, you will have plumbago out the ying-yang :0)

I've got one in a sheltered part of the garden and plan to mulch the heck out of it and see if it goes. I am in Zone 4 (although some want to claim it is now more like 5...they are wrong)...you got a great price on them so you can't really loose.

So ok, here is my next question. It says that it needs to be planted in part sun. Clearly, I should not put it full sun location. Have you guys tried this in full-sun?

I have a drift of it in full sun, but not southern exposure so hot you can fry an egg on the grass sun. It does fine, just make sure you don't let it get too dry. It does *really well* in part shade, though....
