My, sedum is useful

This Alocasia is planted in a smaller pot that didn't quite fit inside the large, gray one. To make matters worse, the smaller pot was one of those fake, clay-looking ones. You know, those orangish ones that look nothing like clay? When I set it inside the large pot, the ugly rim was clearly visible.

So.....

I looked around the garden, spotted my wall full of Sedum album, ripped off a handful, tore it into small pieces and stuck it in the pot. Watered it well, of course. In about a month, the rim of the pot was disappearing. This is what it looks like today.

One of the more brilliant ideas I've had this summer if I must admit. And it was free.
