Hi! I am new to gardenweb, and am trying to ID a plant that is growing in the landscaping in my front yard. I just collected small black seeds from seed pods on the plant and am trying to learn more about it for when I plant the seeds next spring. Any help is appreciated!! Characteristics: I hope I included enough information, I can reply with more if additional facts are needed! Thanks for your time! (Sorry the photo is rotated 90Ëš! The version I uploaded is right-side-up...not sure why it was rotated.)

Another vote for Maltese cross/Lychnis chalcedonica altho' where I am it blooms much earlier in the season--mine bloomed in June. It's easily sown from seed via winter sowing.

I concur as well. :) Dee
