Coreopsis tripteris, Coreopsis 'Full Moon'

The early Chinese yellow roses- R.Xanthina var spontanea, r.hugonis, r.cantabridgiensis, r.primula.....and, of course, r.canary bird. These paler yellows seem to fit right in during the cool sunlight hours of spring and early summer (primulas, narcissus) while once the days turn to golden late summer and autumn, I am enjoying the deeper gold and bronze tones of the rudbeckias, helianthus and solidagos, as well as the wide blooms of achillea filipendula 'Coronation Gold).

Good reminder re daffs. And our Baptisia "Lemon Meringue" flowered for the first time this past spring. Again the right shade of yellow.

Coronilla valentina subsp. glauca Citrina is one of my favourites. I used to grow it in England where it flowered all through the second half of winter, throughout the spring and on into the summer. As soon as the sun came out, it's perfume filled the air.
I grew pale yellow tulips and wallflowers in front of it and together they looked and smelt good.
Here in Crete, it flowers for me throughout the whole winter and spring. It stops flowering when the summer gets hot, then I cut it back and it looks neat and pretty all summer.
