Is it too late for Caryopteris cuttings?

I realize I should have done this back in July, but would cuttings from the following even root this late in the season?

Sunshine Blue

Snow Fairy

White Surprise

If they would root, it would probably be too late to plant them out, but I could grow them inside until well established and then transfer them to a cold room in my basement for a milder, winter dormancy period. During the coldest part of the winter, this room in my basement gets into the high 30's to low 40's which has been perfect for overwintering other tender plants which like a dormant period.

But again, would this cutting even root this time of year?
