Hanging Planter with Perennials and Heuchera River

So,I was trying to win a contest for Hanging Side planters, using more heat/drought tolerant plants (and ipomeoa..sorry, I sneaked an annual in there LOL) such as Echinancea, Variegated Sedum, Sedum Red Cauli, Hens and Chicks, and Kent Beauty and Amethyst Falls Oregano.
Unfortunately, since it was new, it didn't look as full, and was rejected (momentarily sad) LOL
BUT, It's okay! I was happy I tried it! I'm curious to see what the sedum will do next year, growing sideways like this.

Also, I'm trying a heuchera "river" winding through my teensy 10 by 10 foot plot, and just planted divisions I got in an exchange. I'm excited and can't wait to see it as it fills in. The "banks are supposed to be other plants, but I forget I dont' live on an English manor and at this point have nonartistically crammed whatever I could into "real dirt", so we'll see what happens. :)

and my Panicum "Cloud Nine" starting to make a nice froth over a raised bed :)

Thanks for looking :)

I planted a sedum just like that. I think it looks awesome hanging down the sides. They flop sometimes in the garden so why not let them hang down the sides of a container? I love the way your plants look. Great job. I might try something different with my containers next year. I got so tired of watering them every day this summer.

I think Ice Plant would look great in a container. I've never seen a plant bloom so well in the summer. It blooms nonstop. Have you considered that one?

Thanks so much, echinaceamaniac! :)
I love sedums and just popped some in there as people gave me sprigs in exchanges :) I have another planter that is jealous, so will try to put other hanging perennials in that next year (maybe Campanula?)
Yes!! :) I do have ice plants growing in a strawberry container and it looked great until the recent soaking rains :)
