 o
Jacob's Ladder not flowering

I got this plant last year, about to flower. Some of the leaves died back so I cut it down, and noticed loads of new growth coming up. It got so congested that I divided it, and now have loads of healthy clumps. I also saved seeds from last year's flowers, and those have come up as smaller but just as robust clumps.

But none of them flowered.

The one in the picture gets morning sun/afternoon shade; I have another in full sun. I've looked around but the problems others seem to have are about the entire plant not coming back, but not looking healthy and just not flowering.

Anybody know why it's doing this? Does it just need time to settle in from getting divided/growing from seed? Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

It looks healthy, but only flowers in early spring.

Wait and see....otherwise perhaps you're too far south and not enough chilling for it.

It has had a lot of disruption. I'd just leave it in peace for a bit. It looks very healthy. It will probably flower next year. Insufficient chilling won't be the problem in London.
