Gorgeous! I tried growing delphs--grew them from seed via winter sowing--but after a couple of years decided it wasn't meant to be. I'm happy with my stokesia, balloon flowers & campanula.

That's a real purdy one and a nice 2nd bloom. I only had a meager rebloom on mine. Of course I didn't stake them and the wind immediately broke them off.

Did I every mention my grandmothers really, really old clumps of Delphiniums? (sorry, couldn't resist)

Beautiful! How much sun does that area get? I'm wondering because I think of delphiniums as needing full sun and I see hakonechloa there...and is that an epimedium?

Planted four larkspur, Delphinium elatum (Guardian series) this spring and deadheaded them after initial bloom. They did all rebloom.

Thanks! The area is bright but only gets morning sun. There's the shade of a dogwood from mid morning on and then the shadow of the house in the afternoon.... Not much direct sun but not really full shade. Hostas do well there as well as the hakonechloa grass.... Plus a seedling dogwood (might be what looks like an epimedium) that will probably stay even though it's completely the wrong spot.
The delphiniums in more sun are looking more tattered even though they're also blooming.... Nothing impressive but you know how it is when you insist on growing a plant that really doesn't like your garden!

Just beautiful! Can`t grow them here in my KY. garden. Tried and failed several times. They are so beautiful. Lesley

Really lovely, Kato. Your delphinium, whatever type it is, really looks happy there. These are one of my favorite flowers but I've never been too successful with them--- more like annuals for me. Expensive annuals. :(
