ID purple flower stalk perennial please (pic)

stalks grow 3-4 feet, need staking. Some flowers grew back after late summer cutback of stalks. The foliage has pointed leaves compared to the rounded leaves of campanula "bellflower" I have in another spot.

That looks like Campanula persicifolia, the "Peach-Leaf Bellflower" ;-)

Peach leafed bellflower, campanula, is correct.

Campanula latiloba is practically identical to C.persicifolia. Main difference in cultivation is that C.persicifolia is subject to rust, and C.latiloba is not.
