Heuchera Crimson Curls

I was noticing how pretty this one has become with the arrival of colder weather. In fact, the coloring is so nice it just kind of begs you to get closer.

We've had a few nights in the mid 20's, but it's warm again now. This has to be one of my favorite Heucheras even though it is an older variety. It always stays neat and tidy and looks good from early spring until everything is buried in snow. I grow this one in slightly more than 1/2 day sun - no shading and moist soil.

Very nice. Kind of reminds me of kale with its colors and ruffles.

Kevin, Beautiful color and unique shape. This is one reason I like Heuchera: they typically show their best color in fall (with cold temperature) when most of other perennials start to shut down. Even in my zone 5a, they are ever green.

Well, that's different - reminds me of leaf lettuce :0)

Karen - You nailed it. I was thinking the same thing about the similarity to kale.

mxk - Which reminds me, I must go pick my final crop of lettuce. It snowed yesterday, so I'm pushing my luck.
