Fall colour looking down

I really do like having 4 defined seasons. The simple picture I took today does give the essence of the late fall season in a perennial garden.

Nameless Japanese Maple leaves and Japanese All Gold Forest Grass. (In the background Golden Zebra Heucherella, nameless Hosta and a spring of juniper).

Thank you all for your kind words. It was the contrast that caught my eye when I walked by it yesterday. Of course the contrast is more pronounced in 'real life' mostly due to the fact that the grass is a brighter colour than does appear in the picture. I keep telling my family that I need a new camera! ;)

That is a great photo and a good testament to the importance of foliage texture and color contrast.
