For the silver lovers - Canyon Blue et al.

Campanula UK Z8

Not exactly a perennial, I know, but hey, when a little shrub is this lovely, who cares about category definition?

I have been investigating salix (starting an osier bed for basketry) and while I am salivating over my newly delivered heap of 34 willow cuttings, I found myself hovering over this gorgeous little arctic dwarf willow - salix purpurea nana. I am already besotted with S.candida (sage willow) but, avoiding the pitfalls of box blight, while still being far too invested in messing around with topiary shears, the possibilities of perfect silvery globes is too delicious..

Do tell me more about the willow-y possibilities in your gardens schemes.
