Actual drought tolerance of Oxalis oregana and Dicentra formosa?

I'm wondering about the summer drought tolerance of these two species. The assumption is that they are not, but wondering if they actually may be quite tolerant due to their natural native environments?

Both Dicentra formosa and Oxalis oregana live along the pacific coast in rainforest type situations, but it is easy to forget these systems have several months of bone dry weather as well.

Both have similar root systems (rhizome?) so quite shallow.

Any thoughts?

I've just planted a bunch in a place I can not realistically irrigate regularly. Yet this planting will receive abundant fall rains, winter snow melt, spring rains... and hoping they will survive.... Am I fooling myself?
