Has anyone tried either of these this past summer? They are both new introductions from Terra Nova. Wondering how they compare to some of the old standards like 'Purple Emperor.'

I was very impressed with 'Chocolate Drop' at the nursery this year. Planted in my garden this summer, so we will see.

I have Chocolate drop for a year and a half but no experience with Raspberry Truffle. I like that it is compact and doesn't splay like my other stonecrop sedums so far. This year will really tell. It has stayed much shorted than Purple Emperor and Black Jack. Most likely the last two will be removed now that I have a well behaved substitute.

I love Chocolate Drop. For me it has much wider leaves than Purple Emperor & shorter growth. Color is also different - green center with wide chocolate colored edging. I have chocolate drop & purple emperor growing right next to each other so comparison is easy. I have no experience with Raspberry Truffle.

I have never been able to master posting photos on Garden Web. But I will try again next summer.

Maybe you could upload your photos to Photobucket and post a link to them. I have done that and I'm by no means tech savvy.
