The repens is my number one most hated weed! In the lawn, in the flower beds...my own fault for not keeping it in check! It dies next year, I swear! LOL!

it heaves out easily enough, Cats. I find it almost soothing, following the runners from clump to clump, tugging with a pronged instrument and swearing. I had to banish it from the allotment, but being seduced by acreage, I have let all sorts of thugs have a free run....even the (gasp) campanula rapunculoides (hmmm, some strange synchrony going on here).

Last summer I accidentally purchased and planted Ranunculus acris "Flore Pleno" (Multiplex) when I had intended to get another Ranunculus aconitifolius "Flore Pleno". But I let sleeping dogs lie and we will see what happens with all these "Flore Plenos" next season.

LOL camp! I too, use a sturdy, longish handled pronged tool--my most favorite, to dig them! Those multi-fingered, white fleshy roots do not come out easy for me, although I do curse them as I go along...honestly, I think I'm probably more mad at myself than the plants, though!

Oh, and what a demure charmer - how could you not love those shiny leaves and perfect euclidean flowers. Natural geometry at it's finest.

i sorta, kinda, well maybe, like them, but a couple of years ago got so enthusiastic weeding that i got them all

camp, rupifraga has now been blooming continually for two months. right now it has dozens of new stems. one of the best.

dave, can you post a picture or two of your long blooming rupifragum?

we are having hurricane rain today-very unusual-but still, not bad. the closeup is from a few weeks ago.
