Golden Shrub Daisy- New Jersey

Posted by whisperp new jersey (My Page) on

I bought a Golden Shrub Daisy (Euryops pectinatus Viridis)
this summer. Didn't realize it was only hardy to 20 degrees F.

Is there any way to winterize this plant without
digging it up and bringing it in the house?
How about burlap?

Any help appreciated!

Mary

The reason I posted in two forums is because
the tag said perennial and "Golden Shrub Daisy".

Oops! Mary, I posted to your thread on the Shrubs forum when I thought I was posting here. I don't think I've ever posted on the Shrubs forum in my life, lol, so those folks are probably wondering who the heck I am, lol!

Anyway, for what it's worth, I just answered that while I don't know anything about this plant, I did some quick searching and it seems to be easy to propagate by cuttings. If you bring the plant inside to overwinter, you many want to take some cuttings also.

I guess if it will die outside anyway, you might as well give a try to bringing it in - not much to lose!

Good luck!
:)
