| I received one too. Fun to drool over them with 2' of snow on the ground!! When I lived in Houston I'd be getting ready to get seeds started inside in February. Not so up here in the north - more like April. I've seen frost here as late as July and as early as August (all in the same year - short growing season that year). Hope my little fishies are surviving. |

| Groan.... I got 3 catalogs just before Christmas...I was just getting into the lovely snow, holidays etc. Thinking of spring was good, but I didn't need a "fix" that early :) This winter is now shaping up to be my least favorite in a decade. If its not snowing its blowing or brutely cold... this is not fun, and I'm normally a pretty "it life gives you lemons, make lemonade" sort of person. I LIKE to be outside, even when its cold, but this winter is getting to me. Guess I've gotten spoiled....or something. I just bought some snowshoes on e-bay to trek into my neighbors place to do my weekly check while they winter "down south". Just one more step towards insanity at age 50...haven't had a pair on my feet in 30 years! Yesterday I just about chucked the 3 catalogs...then thought about the 14 days, 12 hours and 27 minutes 'til my flight to Naples, FL leaves :) and decided I might page through them yet..... Last year here in west central MN We had 30 days of sunshine in March and 1 day of rain. The snow was gone by March 25th. Ohhhhhh I'm wishin'! Keep up the positive thoughts, S Oh, and I really AM looking forward to trying out the snow shoes, but I am not thinking of any big mountain hikes (brr) anytime in the near future. |
