| I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep. I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,
I was with you at the shops today, Your arms were getting sore.
I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.
It's possible for me to be so near you everyday.
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew,
The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning and say "good-night,
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.

| Lordy Lordy, Chicka dee dee dee you brought a tear to my eyes too. Our little dog is 18 years old, losing her sight and quite deaf. But she keeps on going, with a little help from us, when she cannot make it up on the setee or the patio deck stairs, on her own steam. The though of not having her around is hard to deal with for sure. But it seems to be coming closer all the time. "Horton" |

| Wow C3D: I had to reach for the Scotties too. Had a reading by a psychic in December and she asked me if I lost a big yellow dog recently, because he is still with me all the time. That would be my Kuvasz, Grieco. After reading your poem............wow! Thanks for sharing Jenny |

| "The though of not having her around is hard to deal with for sure. Yep! IMO, knowing that the end is near was even harder to deal with than the rest. |
