Hi Ms. Sandy. Better half is doing MUCH, MUCH better. Thank you. The human body is an amazing thing in how it can recoup and recover. She saw a specialist on 2/18 (exactly a month after the incident) to see if surgery would be needed. The consensus was to wait 4 months to see if the extra tissue gets resolved on its own. I hope it does. Thanks for asking. Mighty nice of you. :-) -Mark

Semper, Thanks for the update. I'm glad your wife is doing better. I often think of what happened to her when I bend down to snuggle with my dogs. Anne

A niece was bitten badly on the face by a dog when she was a child. Now that she is grown you would never see it unless you were looking for it and knew where it was to begin with. Of course a growing child is less likely to have a scar if it is properly cared for. Good doctors are so important in all such cases. If there is a visible scar, it can be covered by some very good cosmetics designed for that purpose. I have found good results for my own scars, received over a lifetime, with the new poly scar creams, gels and patches. Most recently with the scar from carpal tunnel surgery, even I couldn't tell where the incision was made and it was 3.5 inches long. I'm glad she is doing so well and has had good treatment. Sandy
