A new plant

This just popped up in my front flower beds a few years ago. I posted on the "Name that Plant" garden forum to find out that it is called epipactis helleborine which is a small wild orchid. When I researched it I found out that it is highly invasive which explains how it moved from one bed to another. I like the way it looks, but can't decide whether or not to stop it in it's tracks now. I am pretty much a "live and let live" kind of gardener. Is anyone familiar with this wild orchid? Does anyone have any advice?

I posted a link to the pics because when I post the html code the pics come out sideways even though I rotated and saved them on photobucket.

Jenny,

Nope, I've never heard of it. Does't look familiar either- well it looks like some weeds I've seen. Does it have flowers?

Some of the invasive plants do need to be eradicated, some, IMHO don't. Garlic mustard and wild rose are taking over our area, but seedbox primrose is pretty and is easy to remove if you don't want it.

RE: A new plant

Hi Anne:

From what I've read the flowers are small and insignificant. I just found it in my backyard now. Looks like it's going to have to go.
