Hi my pondmaster pump will not start pumping again after power is restored,seems like it needs a check valve, it is attached to 21 ft of 3/4 " hose and about 7 ft to the highest point in the cascade ,it's the madel 12 ,and as soon as the power is off even for a second it will not start until you fill the hose with water using a garden hose ,,what gives?

Sorry not to answer sooner but this post should have gone on discussions. Conversations has been pretty slow for some time. Check any connections for loss of seal. Then check piping for damage. If there are bends or abrupt changes in direction there may be turbulence that is trapping air in the system if you are not using a submersible pump.

I was having that problem and bought a new casing and impeller and it works like a charm
