| Please say some prayers for Laddie. He is 16 and not feeling well. Seems he has liver problems. We opted to not go the route of sonograms, biopsies, etc - just medication and loving him as much as we can.
Mickey, the Westie, died at 17 May 2010 and Laddie, the Scottie, at 16. Thanks all,
|

| Hi Anne: Sorry to hear about Laddie. I remembered Mickey the Westie before I scrolled down to the picture. I will keep Laddie, you and yours in my prayers. We had a German Shorthaired Pointer, Apache, who had a fatty tumor in his armpit. We decided the same thing. We opted not for the surgery (I don't think animals understand suffering) and just enjoyed him till his time came. I understand what you are feeling. It is never, ever easy when the time comes. We thought we prepared ourselves, but no matter how many times you go through it, it isn't easy and somthing you can never prepare for. Stay strong for Laddie. I will keep you in my prayers. Cyber hugs are coming your's and Laddie's way. Jenny |

| Thanks Jenny for your prayers and hugs. Laddie felt much better this A. M. and was actually wagging his tail. That was great to see. I just re-read how I wrote the picture caption and it sounds as if Laddie is already dead at 16. Creepy, even for me. :-) I agree, no matter how much we prepare emotionally, we are never ready for death in pets or loved ones. Anne |
