Thick foam

We drained and cleaned pond in April and used beneficial bacteria. Foam started a couple of weeks ago. I thought maybe it was from an application of algeacide on the waterfall might have caused it, and thought it would clear up. It has gotten a lot worse, a thick foam tea colored a bit. Water is also now developed a tea color a little bit.

Mama... your post would be seen by more people in the conversations section of this forum.

There are a couple of things that come to mind.

1. Is there something that is leaching into the pond? Certain leaves, mulch, those fiber basket for planting? I used one of the fiber baskets in the pond once and it turned the water tea colored.

2. Fish spawning can cause foam, though it doesn't cause tea colored water as far as I know.
