I took these pictures yesterday afternoon. We just moved a few small trees out and put in a new lace leaf maple. I am still editing and adding perennials. I am planning a large waterfall and pond in my sister’s yard this summer. It has been fun to dream about a new project. I will be sure to take pictures of its progress.

Oh, my! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better. Great job "decorating"! I love your new tree. Everything is just so lush and inviting.

Including your 2 little darlings! Being a BIG fan of pugs (ok, maybe obsessive FREAK is more appropriate...LOL), I almost missed your sweet Pekingese! Your pug is absolutely cuddle-licious! :D

These pictures are for you Brenda. We Pug lovers are a little crazy, in a good way. The Pug is named Buddha and the Pekinese is Jasmine. She is the Baby and quite the princess.

Thank you SO much for giving me my fix!! Buddha and Jasmine are such appropriate names for your puppies, too! LOL I sure do miss having a pug around the house. But my folks have one now, so at least I get to visit one whenever I want. :)

Yours is an outstanding pond. You've done a masterful job of placing stone and camouflaging the edges - it's very natural. You have set the standard as far as I'm concerned... I hope mine can look half as good as yours when I'm finished.

What are the approximate dimensions of this beauty ? Will you come to my house and make me one,too ? LOL This has everything I want in a pond, only I'd have our 2 shelties playin' in the water. Absolutely gorgeous.....

Boy this summer went by quickly. It seems like I barely got started on all the projects that we planned for this year when the weather changed. My sister’s pond is postponed due to budget concerns. Still we are finding ways to enjoy and improve our yards without spending much money. After all time and labor is something we can afford. Now if only I had a pond big enough to grow fish to eat, instead of feeders for the frogs to munch. Sad but true; any fish we have put in smaller than two inches disappear within a few days.

This Barred Owl is indeed real. The picture was taken through our front window while she was sitting right next to the pond. Too bad that she was probably checking out her next meal.

Thanks again for the wonderful feed back on my pond. It is such a joy to us every time every time we step outside or just look out our front window. It’s dimensions are 9’ by 11’. The stream is about 15' long, and has thee small falls totaling a drop of around thee feet. We built it using a pond kit that has a waterfall filter and a skimmer that holds the pump opposite the falls, and sends the water through a hose back up to the water fall. It is so easy to take care of. We have replaced the pump twice in five years and first time was by negligence when I let the water get too low. It would be a good idea to put a governor switch on it, but I still haven’t done it.

Very pretty! I love that lace-leafed maple. Been thinking about getting one myself.
