Finally received my rock! I now know what 9 tons of rock look like...it looks *heavy*.

Check my album for updated pics near the end. Still a lot more work to do, but it's getting there.

I appreciate all of the positive feedback! It's been quite an adventure for my first pond and I couldn't have done it without the help of many people on this forum. Thanks!

Go big or go home. Thats my motto too. Forget these little puddle ponds. I like your style.

Ha! Thanks. Yeah, I now regret not making the actual pond even bigger. Really happy with how the stream is coming out and it's plenty long, but if I do it again I'd probably double the size of the pond from 2K to 4K gallons. I was a little nervous given it was my first pond, first time using a backhoe, first time ordering 9 tons or rock, etc. Now I feel like an expert! :-)

I added a few more pics today. Just started putting rocks around the shelf in my pond, um, except for the REALLY big one that got away and rolled in! The rock must have been 300 pounds, so at the bottom it stays! I've also realized that I need a lot more rock than I first ordered. So I agree with a post I just read about ordering more rock than you think. At nine tons and I wasn't even close.
