Seems to be swim bladder desease

Three fantails floating on their sides, eating and pooping. Over the last nine years only fantails have had this problem, This spring I (1) tried isolating in a Salt .10 aquarium for a day, and, (2) Did the same again but with TETRA Lifeguard "All-in-one Treatment" for FIVE days. Cleaned up exterior "marks" but did nothing for their floating problems.

I've always thought that COLD was related to the fantails having this problem but that doesn't seem to be the answer.

So they float, look pitiful, eat and poop. But they don't get better -- and it is downright depressing for their humans.

I have one more medicine that I haven't tried: API T.C. Tetracycline. Could that help?

Anway, short of sticking a pin in their fat little bodies, does someone have an answer?

By the way, I have many straight tails that have never had this problem.

You might want to post this question in the "Discussions" part would have more members to see it and might get an answer.
