please weigh in on filtration for small pond

I tried to post this earlier -- don't know what happened. Sorry if it shows up as a duplicate. I am in zone 7 -- NW Georgia.

I'm researching and planning a small pond -- about 4 x 6. It will be near an old stone wall. My hope is to have a small waterfall backed up to the wall (illusion of waterfall coming out of it.) A 3 foot stream bed will flow to the main pond. I'm thinking lots of plants around the pond, a few inside, but nothing exotic or hard to grow. 3 cheap little goldfish.

I've read about using a small bog garden as a filter. Just wondering if this is the best, most efficient and sensible way to go for such a small pond, or if something else would be just as easy, given the size. Low cost and minimal maintenance would be ideal.

Thank you so much!
